Nine
years ago I
left my full-time job and decided to start my own
coaching and consulting business. Of course I was
scared,
but at the same time, I knew it was what I needed to do.
I wanted
freedom and flexibility. I wanted to create a
business that allowed me to do the work I really enjoyed. Plus, I was good at what I did ... and my clients loved me.
How hard could it be to do the same thing on my own?
I
found out it can be REALLY hard if you're not prepared.
Even though I was good at helping other businesses with their
marketing, I didn't know anything about running a business
or marketing on a shoestring budget. Plus, I really didn't like selling and
I certainly was not interested in cold-calling!
But
I was determined to make it work. So I stuck with it
... I spent a lot of time learning from the masters about
how to build a successful business, how to market on a
shoestring budget, how to market online, and how to manifest
success.
And I was
able to turn that fledgling little start-up into a
multi-faceted 6-figure business that attracts new clients
from around the world every day.

Yes, I did, BUT, the marketing I knew how to
do was expensive - I was used to working with clients with
hundreds of thousands, even millions, of dollars. And I didn't have any money to market my
business when I started out.

a way to take the marketing principles I knew worked, and
re-engineer them for my small business with literally no
marketing budget.
And, I had to
learn a lot from scratch ... like how to run a small
business for a profit and how to market on the Internet.
Because I knew zilch about both when I started!
After several
years of trial and error, things finally started to click.
I was easily attracting clients, I was making good money, and my
business really seemed to be working.
About that time,
I was asked to teach marketing to others who were just
starting out in their own businesses.
And, that's
when I decided to take what I had learned and create a system for others to follow.
A system that combined all that I knew about marketing, with
what I had learned about managing and marketing a small
business.
I knew I wanted
to make it simple, and easy to follow. So anyone could do
it, even if they didn't have ANY marketing
experience.
And, in 2004, I
